Buyers asking for “accountable AI” or “AI governance” platforms are usually comparing two different kinds of software: platforms that govern an organisation’s AI estate, and platforms that build accountability into specific operational workflows. This page sets out neutral criteria, describes nine established vendors from their own official pages, and shows where CloudSeals fits — including the criteria where it does not.
Each vendor was assessed against the same eighteen criteria using only its own product pages, documentation, pricing pages and trust pages as they stood on the access date. Marketing adjectives were not counted as capabilities. “Not confirmed” means the vendor’s public pages did not state the capability on that date — it is not a claim the vendor lacks it. Where a vendor’s pages could not be loaded (ServiceNow’s product and trust pages returned HTTP 403; several trust centres returned no content), the row is marked accordingly and should be re-checked in a browser. Inventory every model and agent, classify risk, map to frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001, run assessments and approvals, monitor production behaviour, and govern third-party AI. IBM, Credo AI, ServiceNow, Microsoft Purview, OneTrust, Holistic AI and ModelOp sit mainly here; Fiddler and Arthur add deep runtime observability and agent security.
Run a specific operational process — a reconciliation, a safety alert, a carbon figure — so that a policy boundary, a human approval and retained evidence are part of every decision. CloudSeals sits here. It is narrower, and it does the work rather than governing software that does the work.

Two recent announcements sit next to, rather than inside, the platforms compared above. They are not scored against the eighteen criteria because they address a different layer: controlling and securing agents as they run.
Announced 28 September 2026 as “an open software platform and reference system design to strengthen AI security from agent testing to deployment.” NVIDIA describes OpenShell as a secure runtime boundary for controlling how agents execute tasks, and Sentry as an out-of-band watchdog that verifies agent identity, enforces zero-trust access policies and can quarantine an agent. It is infrastructure-level agent safety, not a business-workflow approval and evidence layer.

Reco describes itself as securing “agents and their operating environments where applications, identities, permissions and workflows converge.” On 29 September 2026 it announced $55 million in additional funding led by AT&T Ventures, bringing reported total funding to $140 million. It addresses agent, SaaS and identity security, which is complementary to workflow-level approval and evidence.
