CCTV safety event review checklist
Plan camera coverage, configured safety rules, supervisor review and retained evidence before evaluating a CCTV safety workflow.
Start with the site and the rule
List the areas in scope, the safety rule for each area and the person responsible for responding. Check camera views against the actual working environment. A camera event is a signal for investigation; it is not a final finding about a worker or an incident.
Agree what a reviewer must see
For each example, retain the event time, relevant view, configured rule and the context shown to the supervisor. Include ambiguous scenes in the evaluation: occlusion, lighting changes, people outside the intended zone and equipment that is difficult to distinguish. Record incorrect alerts and missed examples separately.
Keep people responsible for closure
Define who reviews an alert, how an incorrect alert is dismissed, when an event is escalated and what evidence accompanies closure. A useful review should explain what happened after the alert, rather than simply count detections.
Set the information boundary
Before using footage, discuss permitted purposes, access, retention, export and deletion with the site owner and privacy team. Confirm processing location and any masking requirements during scoping; do not assume a particular feature or legal basis.
Evaluate CompliSight with your own examples
CompliSight supports configured CCTV/PPE and site-safety workflows with supervisor review. Bring representative examples and agreed acceptance criteria. Detection is not a replacement for site safety management or an assurance of compliance.
Discuss your review requirements
Bring the inputs, operating boundaries and evidence needs for one workflow.
